GRACE UNPLUGGED DVD

$15.00

Watching this movie is a tremendous experience! It is made in the same vein as "Facing the Giants", "Fireproof" and "Courageous". It is unashamedly about honoring God and remembering to treat others the way one desires to be treated. The acting is superb and the story is realistic and riveting as it focuses on relationships and how they can sometimes go wrong. It is about an eighteen year old talented girl, a singer like her father. Her name is Grace Trey and she wants to try out her wings without her parent's interference.

Any parent will especially be touched by this film. You will enjoy the scene near the beginning of the movie when Johnny gives a young Grace a guitar for her birthday. Later, as they share a moment again of playing together when she is near home on tour, and after some awkward previous conversations, he tells her nothing ever made him happier than playing music with her. It is a moment not to be missed. I don't know if guys are supposed to be moved to tears while watching a movie but that's what happened to me. I dare any parent who loves their son/daughter not to be touched during this scene. Leading up to this we see Grace's father, Johnny, a former rock star who was converted and now leads praise and worship along with Grace's help at church. He spots the rebellion that Grace is beginning to display. She doesn't want to take his musical directions, she lies about going to a youth group meeting and he learns she went somewhere else. Parents will easily spot his love and intended guidance for his daughter but she wants space and his one shortcoming is not realizing she needs it so God can teach her what she needs to learn. She gets an offer from Mossy, her dad's former manager, and she is off in a moment for L.A. to begin a new singing career.

Grace's begins to quickly descend downward but God sends a few people into her life to remind her He is still thinking of her even if she can't say the same thing. A young man named Quentin tells her he saw her and her father lead a worship service and he reminds her to keep God in her thoughts.

This movie will stir your emotions and it features terrific performances, with AJ Michalka as Grace, James Denton as her father Johnny, Kevin Pollak as Mossy, Michael Welch as Quentin and Shawnee Smith as Michelle, Johnny's wife and Grace's mother.

We gladly award this remarkable and inspiring movie five Doves and we would award it more if we could. It is a well-made inspirational story and features good writing, acting, music; the whole works. Don't miss this one!
